About this programme

Negotiating your own pay is uncomfortable for most people, and that discomfort costs real money over time.

This course is built specifically around compensation discussions: initial job offers, annual reviews, promotion conversations, and contractor rate negotiations. We cover how to research market rates using sources like Glassdoor, LinkedIn Salary, and sector-specific surveys, and how to present that data without sounding confrontational. Participants learn how to handle responses like we have a fixed band or now is not a good time, which are common deflections rather than final answers.

The format is small group, with a maximum of fourteen participants per cohort.

Instructor Declan Quigley has worked in HR leadership for over a decade and now coaches professionals across multiple sectors. He brings a clear-eyed view of what actually happens on the employer side of these conversations, which most participants find more useful than generic negotiation advice. Sessions are recorded so you can review them at your own pace.
